An Updated Brand for a Dynamic Public College

Emily Griffith Technical College is a nationally accredited public college where students can prepare for their GED, improve their English or choose from one of their dynamic career-preparation programs that blend workplace learning and classroom training.
Challenge
In 2020, Emily Griffith found itself at a crossroads and turned to GFM|CenterTable to help refresh its brand. The college yearned for a brand identity that felt as exciting and accessible as its curriculum.

Our Approach
Our team conducted a deep investigation of the brand by meeting with various stakeholders throughout the organization, which included surveys and in-person meetings. We also guided key members of the Emily Griffith community through a brand positioning workshop. From there, we moved onto preliminary design, which included dozens of concepts. With additional surveys and discussions with the Emily Griffith team, we finalized the logo and developed an accompanying visual identity that was incorporated into various internal and external materials.
