Policy Matters: Redesigning a Website and Doubling Visitors

The U.S. Capitol building in Washington D.C.

GFM|CenterTable redesigned the website of The National Conference of State Legislatures, making it more visually compelling and more than doubling page views and site visitors.

GFM|CenterTable collaborated with the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) to overhaul their website with the goals of enhancing brand recognition, improving the user experience and emphasizing the organization’s bipartisan expertise. The redesign aimed to amplify NCSL’s presence in the legislative community and boost brand awareness through optimized digital properties and search engine optimization (SEO).

GFM|CenterTable gathered feedback from interested groups and identified potential improvements for the new website. We simplified the user experience and streamlined website navigation, as well as expanded and optimized content that key audiences were searching for. This improved the site’s visibility in organic search and led to a major increase in traffic.
