Navigating Complexity: Coordinated Change Management Communications
To help manage a major change in operational structure, we developed an integrated internal communications program for the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), the nation’s leading professional association for medical practices. Our monthly town halls, presentation and message training, and ongoing communications support enabled the organization to move 18 state affiliates to a new chapter model.
Project Overview
During a key operational shift in its affiliate structure, MGMA needed to communicate an enterprise-wide strategy to create better alignment with the MGMA state affiliates and provide a model that would drive greater collaboration, support and value to members at the national and state levels.
Approach
GFM|CenterTable developed a change management program to sustain engagement with existing members and expand awareness among new demographics. Our holistic approach aimed to communicate the new model effectively, fostering stability and elevating the quality of services provided to members. By leveraging our extensive experience in strategic communications and change management, we developed a tailored approach that addressed the diverse needs of existing members at the state and national levels. Our strategic communications plan provided a cohesive framework for ongoing engagement and included messaging for monthly town halls, ongoing emails to members with updates and answers to frequently asked questions, website content, board talking points, presentation training and support for the annual conference.
