Noble Raises $107,000 for DPS, Gives Students Gift of a Lifetime from Broncos
Project Snapshot
Challenge
Noble Energy and the Denver Broncos joined forces for a day of service at Cheltenham Elementary School, a longstanding Title I elementary school within Denver Public Schools. Not only was the school in need of a hand, it also sits nearly in the shadow of the Broncos’ home at Mile High Stadium.
Solution
We activated a team of content producers on the ground leading up to and during the event, including our video production team, to adequately plan for the event, capture the most compelling content and publish that content in real-time across social platforms.
Results
After setting a record for single-day impressions on Noble’s Twitter platform at the 2016 Day of Service, we eclipsed that record at Cheltenham in 2017 by more than half a million, pushing the number of impressions during the three-hour event to 2.4 million.
With a plethora of high-profile organizations at work on a worthy cause, which included service projects at the school, assisting with the students’ carnival and field day, a $35,000 check presentation from Noble to the Denver Public Schools Foundation and an appearance by Denver Broncos player Justin Simmons, our team was tasked with drawing attention to the large-scale event and leveraging the influencers in attendance to bring awareness to Noble’s involvement and impact.
Solution
We activated a team of content producers on the ground leading up to and during the event, including our video production team, to adequately plan for the event, capture the most compelling content, publish that content in real-time across social platforms belonging to Noble and its partners and then amplify that content through the usage of key and trending organic search terms. Content collection included a robust photo gallery of Noble employees interacting with Broncos employees and Cheltenham students, motion graphics and GIFs of service project and carnival game. Additionally, a GoPro video pulled together was captured by students participating in the athletic events at field day. The team also posted a Facebook livestream of the check presentation and ensuing tour of Mile High Stadium with Cheltenham students hosted by the Broncos.
Results
- After setting a record for single-day impressions on Noble’s Twitter platform at the 2016 Day of Service, we eclipsed that record at Cheltenham in 2017 by more than half a million, pushing the number of impressions during the three-hour event to 2.4 million
- Part of the reason for that high impression count was getting the Broncos’ social media team on board with utilizing Noble’s #NobleActs hashtag alongside their own #BeAChampion hashtags throughout the day, thus solidifying the connection between the two brands
- During the hourlong Facebook livestream of the check presentation, we received 1,376 unique live viewers with 84 interactions on the video, all of which were positive
- The sentiment associated with Noble throughout the day was immensely positive, with the strongest recurring keywords associated with “Noble Colorado” and “#NobleActs” being “donation,” “dance,” “excited” and “alongside”
- Our recap video of the event was also a top-performing post, reaching 11,248 people on Facebook in the span of a week, and receiving 7,843 video views as well as 89 positive engagements
